Two boys in a sandbox

Posted by admin on Jun 17, 2009 in Uncategorized

twoboys3sizeRecently, our family went to White Sands National Monument (White Sands to the locals). What a fun evening to play with the kids. They get to relax and play while we get awesome family pictures. Nothing says family time like playing in a big, over-sized sandbox. Since I’m the one usually behind the camera, it’s great to have my picture taken with one of my favorite boys. (Picture thanks to Andrea Holland).

God’s own wedding chapel

julie_0078Often, couples want their grandparents or small children at their wedding when the travel to Ruidoso. There are numerous places that can accommodate those requests and still have the grand views of Sierra Blanca.

This particular view is almost to one of my favorite look out points. The drive is long and I have even had a few people turn around because they think they are lost. My advice, keep going, You can almost reach the heavens from here.

The fork in the road always leads to love…eventually:

Posted by admin on Jun 8, 2009 in Uncategorized

sandygail079There is a country song that talks about a broken road.

Sandy and Gail took the fork in the road a long time ago and lost track of each other, although now it seems like “yesterday.” After thirty years of wondering, modern technology and an email brought them back together.

Not knowing if she was the right girl, or even if she was still interested. Sandy courageously sent an email to a girl with the same name of the one he remembered. Gail returned  his email. Before they realized where time went, they had rekindled their love from so many years ago and she was moving half way across the country to see him again.

Stories like this remind me of why I love the wedding business. Only love can reunite such a couple. In their ceremony, I mentioned how God moves in mysterious ways, and whatever happened back then, only makes their newly found love that much more sweet.

Welcome to our new site

Posted by admin on May 1, 2009 in Uncategorized

Welcome to our new website.

With our new site, comes a new vision. Your ceremony and time with us is just a few minutes of your entire weekend. Your wedding and your portraits are at the heart of what we do but we are about more than weddings, we are about your weekend escapade as you begin your new life together.

Romance is the crux of our services. Yesterday I spoke with a woman hoping to get married in Ruidoso and one of her biggest concerns is her husband who isn’t quite as romantic as she would like him to be and was asking for ideas. We have heard that many times during the past four years. Our team can create an entire week or longer of things to do in the area. We can help plan dinner reservations, things to do and full-day excursions from Ruidoso. There are things for every interest from the world renowned Spencer Theater to an adventurous hike in the woods. She was looking for romance, a planned weekend away where he could sweep her off her feet.
